Saint Raphael & Saint Isabella Conferences

The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul’s Saint Raphael and Saint Isabella Conferences are hosting their annual Bocce Picnic & Tournament fund raising event to provide housing and food assistance for families, individuals, and children of San Rafael. All proceeds of the event are used to help those in our community who are in need of rental, utility or medical assistance; furniture; and to support their food pantry which is available five days a week to feed families.

Last year, their pantry distributed 2,811 bags of groceries and $89,340 in food gift cards. Families receiving food and gift cards included 2,107 men, 2,394 women and 4,745 children! They provided 209 families $103,300 in rent, utility, and additional financial support.

The first St. Vincent de Paul Conference was established in 1833 in Paris, France to assist families in need of food and basic necessities. The Conference at St Raphael was established in 1950. There are Conferences now in 148 countries around the world!
