Perfectly sweet, savory, and tender, this dish is a show-stopping side for any Thanksgiving feast.
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs. garnet yams
- ⅓ cup olive oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 cloves garlic – minced
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp sage
- 1 tsp thyme
- ¼ tsp sea salt
- ⅛ tsp pepper
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 F. Slice the yams into ⅛ inch rounds and add them to a large mixing bowl.
In a separate bowl, combine the olive oil, honey, minced garlic, oregano, sage, thyme, sea salt, and pepper. Drizzle the olive oil mixture over the yams and toss well.
Arrange the yams into a spiral inside an oven safe skillet, drizzle with any remaining oil, and cover with aluminum foil.
Bake for 50 minutes. Then, remove the foil and let the dish bake for another 15 minutes uncovered. Garnish with green onions or parmesan cheese!
