These crispy, golden sausage rolls are packed with flavor and perfect for your Super Bowl party!

 

Ingredients

  • 1 lb United’s Italian sausage
  • 1 (17.3 oz) box puff pastry (2 sheets)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • 2 tablespoons freshly minced parsley
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 eggs (1 for filling and 1 for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds for sprinkling

 

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F and thaw puff pastry per package directions.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix all sausage filling ingredients and set aside.
  3. Lightly roll out puff pastry on a floured surface and cut each sheet into three long rectangles.
  4. Form sausage into logs and place one down the center of each pastry strip. Fold pastry over sausage, seal, and crimp with a fork.
  5. Cut each log into six 2-inch pieces and score tops diagonally to vent.
  6. Arrange on a baking sheet, brush with egg wash (1 egg whisked with 1 tablespoon water) and sesame seeds, and bake for about 20 minutes, rotating halfway, until golden brown and crisp. Enjoy!
