These crispy, golden sausage rolls are packed with flavor and perfect for your Super Bowl party!
Ingredients
- 1 lb United’s Italian sausage
- 1 (17.3 oz) box puff pastry (2 sheets)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
- 2 tablespoons freshly minced parsley
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 eggs (1 for filling and 1 for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)
- 2 teaspoons sesame seeds for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F and thaw puff pastry per package directions.
- In a medium bowl, mix all sausage filling ingredients and set aside.
- Lightly roll out puff pastry on a floured surface and cut each sheet into three long rectangles.
- Form sausage into logs and place one down the center of each pastry strip. Fold pastry over sausage, seal, and crimp with a fork.
- Cut each log into six 2-inch pieces and score tops diagonally to vent.
- Arrange on a baking sheet, brush with egg wash (1 egg whisked with 1 tablespoon water) and sesame seeds, and bake for about 20 minutes, rotating halfway, until golden brown and crisp. Enjoy!
